Terms of Service

Effective August 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Charm Technologies LLC (“Versed”, “we”, “us”) covering the Versed iPhone app and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Versed.

1. The Service

Versed helps you memorize Bible verses: a Bible reader, verse packs, spaced-repetition review, and related features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your content

Verses you save, packs you build, and notes you write are yours. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account; we do not host them and claim no rights in them. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure.

3. Scripture text and licensing

The King James Version, World English Bible, and Berean Standard Bible are public domain or freely licensed. The New International Version, New American Standard Bible, and Amplified Bible are provided under license through the YouVersion Platform and remain the property of their respective publishers. Scripture text is provided for personal study and memorization within the app. You may not extract, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit licensed Bible text from the Service. The YouVersion Bible App is free, and nothing in Versed is a substitute for or a restriction on your access to Scripture elsewhere.

4. Versed Pro

Versed is free to download and use with limits. Versed Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store and governed by Apple’s terms as well as these. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by reverse engineering the app, interfering with its operation, circumventing purchase or licensing restrictions, or using it in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

6. Intellectual property

The Versed name, icon, artwork, design, and software are owned by Charm Technologies LLC or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work hard on accuracy, but we do not warrant that Scripture text, references, or quiz content are free of error.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charm Technologies LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$20 if you paid nothing.

9. Termination

You can stop using Versed at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the product.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and Charm Technologies LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date; continued use after that date means you accept the changes.
