FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask before their first verse. Something missing? Write to us.
Is Versed free?+
Yes. Download is free, reading the Bible is free in every translation we offer, and you can memorize up to ten verses with no subscription. Versed Pro unlocks unlimited verses, all five review modes, progress insights and every verse pack.
Which Bible translations are included?+
King James (KJV), New International Version (NIV), New American Standard (NASB 2020), the Amplified Bible (AMP), the World English Bible (WEB) and the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). NIV, NASB and AMP are provided through the YouVersion Platform; you can request others from inside the app and we'll let you know when they land.
How does the spaced repetition work?+
Every verse is a card scheduled with an SM-2 style algorithm: the better you recall it, the longer until you see it again. New verses start in Read & Recognize; as they mature, Versed introduces blanks, first-letter hints, typed recall and reverse recall. You can always pick a single mode from the Study chooser.
Do I need an account?+
No. Your library and progress are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account. We never see your verses, your notes or your name.
What's the daily Scripture test?+
Six verse fragments to finish, drawn from a bank of over six hundred verbatim KJV lines, with a famous misquote in every set. It changes every day and you can share your score.
Does it work offline?+
Yes. Your saved verses and reviews work without a connection. The in-app Bible reader caches chapters you've opened; licensed translations re-check for publisher updates when you're back online.
Can I make my own packs?+
Yes. Open any chapter in the reader, select verses, and add them to a new pack or to your library. Packs you make are yours to study right away, and you can set a daily reminder per pack.
Is there an Android or web version?+
Not yet. Versed is iPhone-first while we get the memorization experience right. Android and a lightweight web review client are on the roadmap.
How do I cancel Versed Pro?+
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or use Manage Subscription inside Versed. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the current period.
How do I delete my data?+
Deleting the app removes your local library. To clear the iCloud copy, open Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Versed and delete the data. Nothing about your verses is stored on our servers.
